Prayer Time ♥ ♥ ♥

Thursday, May 5, 2011

These are the things that I pray for...

Dear heavenly Father, I ask you for wisdom and guidance.  You are my Jehovah Rohi, the Lord my shepherd.  I pray that You anoint my heart so that I desire to seek you for wisdom.  I pray that You shed light into my life.  Whatever is shrouded in darkness will always come to light.

I pray for health.  For Lord God You are my Jehovah Rapha, a God of healing.  I ask that You banish sickness from my body and from the bodies of my loved ones.  I ask that You heal the body down to the cellular level and repair what has been broken.

I pray for prosperity.  For God You are my Jehovah Jireh, the Lord my provider.  I ask that You anoint me and my loved ones who are in need for better job opportunities.  I pray that You open up the job market to me and my loved ones, so that employers are receptive to our resumes and job applications.    I trust that through hard work and dedication to You, that our blessings shall multiply.

I pray for positive, loyal, and uplifting friendships.  Lord You are El Elyon, God on most high.  I pray that You are the center of my friendships and my relationship.  I ask that You anoint me to be a blessing in other's lives, and that my friends are blessings in my life.  I pray for the strength to recognize what relationships are honorable and pleasing to You, and the wisdom to know which relationships to sever.

I pray for happiness.  Lord You are Jehovah Shalom, a God of peace.  I ask that You influence my heart to love the little things in life and to find happiness even amongst the darkness.

Amen!

Romantic Thoughts...

Friday, April 22, 2011

The other day I was watching a movie called "The Wedding Date" and the hunky guy that was the main character's date said, "Every woman has exactly the type of relationship she wants."  I was thinking about that today...so many women have bad relationships, but they couldn't possibly want that.  However, the hunk is right.  Our relationships manifest based on what we're focused on.  So let's focus on beauty, laughter, spontaneity, loyalty, uplifting, love, kisses, intimacy, trust, honesty, warmth, comfort, sweetness, thoughtfulness, appreciation, and all of the other things we love about relationships...

Trying To Keep It Together

I really hate feeling like this...

I am in a really emotionally vulnerable place...

I just feel like you should be able to trust that special person in your life...

Because we're a team, partners, on the same side...not enemies...

But maybe I'm just naive...

Or maybe it has a lot less to do with me than I really think...

Many times people focus on the flaws of others to mask their own issues...

But I shouldn't be so sensitive, I should be more confident in myself...

God made me beautiful inside and out.  He let me make mistakes...

So I could learn to be a better person, lover, and friend ♥

Until next time...

Unique Date Idea #002

Saturday, February 5, 2011

Studies show that couples who laugh together are more fond of one another and share more intimacy together.  This is why I am recommending checking out a local Improv Comedy Club! It's a great setting to have dinner, laugh with your boo-boo bear, and get to mingle with celebrity comedians after the show.

DC Improv features both celebrity comedians and local comedy acts.  Ticket prices vary, but are often the cost of a movie ticket.  They have an extensive menu with popular American dishes and a hearty drink menu as well.  All shows are only for 18 and up audiences.

Address: 1140 Connecticut Ave. NW DC 20036

Tickets are available online at: http://www.dcimprov.com/

This is definitely on my list of things to do with my sweetie!  I've been to some amazing comedy shows in Florida, so I definitely have to hit up one in DC!

Until next time...

Valentine's Day Preparations ♥ ♥ ♥

Friday, January 28, 2011

Valentine's Day is on the horizon!  For once I have someone special to celebrate this romantic holiday with, so I want to make nostalgic memories.  My date is a guy that I've been seeing and getting to know over the last few weeks.  We had our first date on New Years Day and our connection was electric.  It feels as if I've known him my whole life, but in reality we just met.  He's planning on reserving a room at the Gaylord Resort in the National Harbor and having dinner with me at an upscale restaurant by the water.

Now women all over the world go through great lengths to pick the perfect outfit to wear on Valentine's Day.  I have my heart set on a dress by one of my favorite designers -- Free People, called the Wisteria and Lattice Dress in ivory.

Since I'm spending most of my budget on the dress ($128.00) I want to get my shoes from Charlotte Russe.  These are the Espadrille T-strap Platform Sandal and only cost $35.50.

Then of course an amazing outfit is not complete without great accessories and accents.  I think I want to wear Boho Charm necklace ($1.50) and the Cut Out Tear Drop earrings ($2.80).

I have an idea how I want to wear my hair too....maybe something like this....

My best friend told me about a Japansese custom of giving your valentine home made baked treats.  I think I might bake mine something yummy because I know he definitely has a sweet tooth.

Well those are my plans so far...are you doing anything special for V-Day?  Comments are appreciated!  Until next time...
