Date Night: Basketball Game - Wizards v. Pistons

Tuesday, April 5, 2011

I have such a thoughtful man! I swear, he is always taking me out and thinking of me. I am truly blessed ^___^ Tonight he took me to the NBA game of the Wizards v. Pistons at the Verizon Center. I really enjoyed the game and spending time with him ♥

Yay for the home team!  The Wizards won!  The game was neck and neck the whole time, but of course the Wizards pulled through.

I had a great day, but some things were said today that made me kinda sad though...I hate feeling like I'm being judged and my every move is scrutinized.  It's kind of like walking on egg shells all of the time.  Honestly no one really has any right to judge me because I've never met a perfect person yet.  I'm open about who I am and I keep it 100% with everyone.  I wait for everyone else to take off their masks, because I never wore one.  Hmmm...my date tomorrow should lift my spirits!

Until next time...

Date Night: Baseball Game & Yummy Desserts ♥ ♥ ♥

Saturday, April 2, 2011

Today my boyfriend and I took my two little godchildren to a Washington Nationals baseball game!  It was the Nationals v. Braves and of course the home team brought in the win!  I wish I could say today was perfect, sunny, and completely happy go lucky....but it wasn't.

My godsister was going to drop her kids off at my place this morning, but she was running late, which made me late.  Once I picked up the kids I got stuck in traffic trying to get into Washington DC.  My boyfriend is a punctual person, so naturally he got mad at me (and secretly I wanted to turn around!).

When we all got to the stadium, the rain had cleared up and the sun came out.  I was really happy about that...but then it started to drizzle...then the rain actually started to hurt...and before I knew it, it was hailing some kind of madness!  Fortunately the sun came back out, and I bought the kids Italian sausages and sweet sausages with fries.  Little E-man made us stay till the end of the game because he was trying to catch a baseball!  Little Roo was busy trying to steal my man of course LOL!

After the game, my boyfriend rode with me back home to Virginia to drop the kids of at their grandmother's house (which is next door to mine!).  I'm glad he came because he got to see how far I drive to see him on the regular and that traffic in Virginia is unpredictable.  So we kissed and made up about me being late this morning! ;-*

Now it was time for some quality "us" time!  We went to Shilla's Bakery in Annandale, VA and ordered several yummy desserts!  I got strawberry mousse, and Malik got mango mousse & raspberry mousse.  I really liked them all, but he wasn't thoroughly impressed.  He's always a tough critic of food!

Until next time...

Girls Night Out: DC United Soccer Game ✪ ✪ ✪

Sunday, March 20, 2011

I am sooo totally bummed out tonight!  So I had a choice to either go to New York and meet Janet Jackson at her book signing, or support my cutie's children's charity.  We took the selfless route and opted to do something nice for the children.  My honeybun hooked me and my god-nieces up with tickets to the DC United opening season soccer game.  The girls were gonna get a chance to meet the players and get autographs...if we actually made it!  For some reason the traffic going northbound into DC was really bad, and then when we got on the metro, the trains were broken down on the blue and yellow lines so we were stuck at a station close by the stadium.  Problem is, if you're late, they close the ticket counters.  The girls were really disappointed and I feel kind of bad, but life happens.  They still had fun goofing off on the metro though!

Aren't they just simply adorable!  Surprisingly they were both very well behaved so I treated them to pretzels on the way home.  The one with the curly hair is Makayla and the one with the nubian twists is Kien'aaitta.  They are cousins, so you know goofiness runs in the family!  Some people thought Makayla was my daughter!  I hope to have a pretty little girl of my own someday ♥ ♥ ♥

Until next time...

Date Night: Lacrosse Tournament & Masonic Classical Symphony

Saturday, March 12, 2011

I had such an amazing day today!  I spent the entire day with my sweetie!  (And I intend to spend all night with him too ^. ~)  So this morning I got all bundled up to go to the Konica Minolta Face Off - College Lacrosse Tournament in Baltimore, MD.  It was chilly outside, but good thing I had a hot guy to cuddle up with and keep me warm!  Those sweet kisses made me feel like I was on a tropical beach somewhere »-(¯`v´¯)-» »-(¯`v´¯)-»

After the game, my cutie took me to a Jamaican restaurant for lunch.  I ordered a jerk chicken sandwich and it was definitely yummy!  Then we headed back to his place to get changed into our dress clothes for the Classical Masonic Symphony performing at the Kennedy Center.  He looks so nice in a suit!

I think we look so cute together! ♥ The symphony was pretty good except one really long slow song that nearly put me to sleep LOL! ⎝⏠⏝⏠⎠

Well I'm about to get cuddled up for the night!

Until next time...

Date Night: Wizards v. Timberwolves Game ☄ ☄ ☄

Saturday, March 5, 2011

I went on a date to the Wizards v. Timberwolves game at the Verizon Center today!  This was my first NBA game I've ever been to.  The Wizards got their butts kicked, but I still enjoyed the game.  Afterwards he bought me Chipotle and took me on a walk by the White House.  Another first as well because any other time I've ever been to DC the roads are blocked off.  I thought the night was gonna end there but he surprised me by taking me to play pool out in Silver Spring, MD.  I love spending time with him, and we're getting to know each other more.  I'm not perfect by any means, but I pray he can accept me for who I am, both good and bad...

LOL now I know what they mean by "nose bleed" seats!  Next date I got planned...Smuckers Stars on Ice at the Verizon Center!  We got the tickets as part of children's charity program he's a part of so I'm bringing my lil gang of nieces.  One of my nieces was in a really bad car accident and is in a wheel chair now, I especially want to bring her because it would make her day! ★ ★

Until next time...
