Date Night: Movie Premiere of "Soul Surfer"

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

So tonight Malik invited me to a children's charity function that allowed kids to meet the Washington National's baseball players. I brought my god-niece Andrea, but unfortunately it was extremely cold, rainy, and the line to meet the players was ridiculously long. Malik is truly amazing because he didn't let that ruin our evening. He took us to the movie premiere of Soul Surfer, which Andrea was dying to see.

The movie was really good!  God bless Malik's heart because he really wanted to see Hannah, but he took us to see a sappy chick flick instead.  Soul Surfer is really sad, but the main character pulls through.  Carrie Underwood is in this movie...let's just say that thank God she didn't have a big role because her acting is a little blah.  I think it is amazing that this is a true story and at the end you get to see some really nice footage of the girl the movie is based on.

I'm glad I got to see my cutie pie today!  This little excursion has completely worn me out though!  Bringing Andrea up to DC is a work out for sure.  Luckily my sexy man helped me load up her wheel chair in my car since it weighs 95 lbs!  I had a great time.  I made Andrea happy...Malik made me happy...and I think we just made Mailk tired LMAO!

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

Spring is about to go into full effect!  I'm so excited!  The trees are blossoming, the robins and blue jays are back, and the weather is warming up!  I really am loving some of the spring fashions in Japan and Korea right now.  The girls are wearing feminine and flirty skirts and dresses.  The frills and florals are refreshing and sweet!

Date Night: Home Cooking & Cuddling Up ♡ ♡ ♡

Monday, March 28, 2011

So last night was a very special night for me.  I was missing the guy that I've been seeing over that last 6 weeks.  I know I just saw him a few days ago, but it feels like forever!  His name is Malik, and he's one of the nicest guys I've met in a long time.  I prayed for a Christian man who is a gentleman, smart with money, intelligent, ambitious, thoughtful, giving, appreciative, tall, and handsome.  I want a man who is not afraid to do the right thing, a man who consciously tries to live his life in way that honors God, and a man who isn't afraid to speak his mind.  Malik is all of those things!

My mom steamed some jumbo shrimp yesterday so I took some over Malik's house last night along with French Artisan Bread and Mediterranean salad.  Me and my sweetie had dinner together.  Those shrimp were soooo good!  Then I worked on some homework while he looked over some of his investment papers.  I think its important for two people to enjoy each others company out in public, but also right at home too.  It doesn't matter if we're going to see a play or watching comedy on tv at home.  I love spending time with him!

Over the last few weeks we have definitely been getting closer.  Last night he asked me if I would be his girlfriend and of course I said yes! ◕‿◕ So now it's official!  I haven't been in a committed relationship in almost 4 years...isn't that crazy!  Well I'd like to think that I was waiting for him because I told myself I wouldn't get in a relationship just for the sake of not being alone.  I'm really excited to see where this goes!

Girls Night Out: Kite Festival & Museum ☁ ☁ ☁

Saturday, March 26, 2011

Guess what everyone?!  The Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC just got a kick start today!  The cherry blossoms are sooo beautiful!  ✿✿✿ One of the traditions of the Cherry Blossom Festival is a Kite Festival that takes place on the Mall by the Monument.  There were vendors out there selling all kinds of amazing and pretty kites.  There were even craftsmen teaching children how to make their own kites.  I took my lil nieces to have lunch on the Mall and fly kites as a part of the Kite Festival.

It was a nice sunny and windy day so we got some good kite flying action!

Haha the lil girl in blue, Danielle was being a party poop.  Poor thing got frustrated so much over her kite and didn't want help building a new one.  No worries, she cheered up later when we packed up and went to see the dinosaur bones at the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum!

We got to see dinosaur bones, fossils, models of prehistoric plants, prehistoric mammal bones, and a special thai orchid exhibit.  I loved the flowers!  Orchids are my favorite flowers next to tulips. ♥  I wish my honeybun could've made this trip.  The girls had so much fun, and each of them have some difficult things going on in their lives, so it was nice showing them a good time!

Until next time...
